Tina Fey on working women, age and motherhood

Tina Fey published a hilarious yet poignant essay in the New Yorker last week on life as a 40-year-old working mom in Hollywood. She touches on some interesting subjects many women could identify with, famous or not. The issue is no longer on newsstands, but I grabbed a few choice bits from the online archive.

LOL! Oh, Tina Fey. She is, in my opinion, the most talented comedian in the business. It bums me out that the sexism she references is very much alive and well in Hollywood (and other industries). When was the last time you saw a successful, funny movie starring a woman? "Juno" is the last one I can think of, and I could easily rattle of ten or twenty comedies with male leads. Depressing.
