I'm Mary. It's nice to meet you. This blog is a tiny space on the internet to document my musings on style, travel and culture. Enjoy!

OUTFIT POST: Leopard-print and leather

I thrifted this leopard-print bomber blouse a couple weeks ago and wasn't sure how I'd wear it. It buttons down to an elastic waist and doesn't fully open, which is kind of funny. My waist is also unusually long, so I knew I'd have to sport something longer under the blouse or I'd be revealing some serious belly. (it's not quite belly-revealing weather in the upper midwest.) So I went with an easy default — layering.

This served as a comfy look for an afternoon running errands last weekend. You can't quite tell from the photo, but my Dolce Vita for Target shoes are tipped in gold studding. I got them for $5 at Goodwill. They're surprisingly comfortable for cheap shoes.

What does everyone have going on this weekend? I'm going out with some friends on Friday night, hitting up a Fleetwood Mac tribute show on Saturday night (eeeeee!!) and doing a whole bunch of yoga. Speaking of which, have any of you ever tried Kundalini yoga? I did it the other night for the first time and man ... what a weird experience. It involves lots of chanting, repetition and meditation, none of which is my thing. And two days later, my calves have never been more sore. So random.
