Tribal-Inspired Boots from Cobra Society

Can't get enough tribal-inspired everything? Allow me to introduce Alex Davis' just-launched boot collection, Cobra Society, which I wrote about in this month's Metro magazine. The Minneapolis native turned LA resident has gotten major buzz lately, with write-ups in W, Vogue UK, WWD and Elle.

While the North African-inspired design is on-trend for fall, Davis is about more than just fads. The patterned shafts of her boots are made of Kilim fabrics handwoven by female artisans in a Morroccon village. Meanwhile, the leather hails from Italy, and the boots themselves are assembled in Spain. Talk about well-traveled shoes!

Her collection consists of ankle, mid-calf, knee-high and over-the-knee styles in three color schemes, all incorporating Kilim fabrics.

Want your own pair? Davis sells at boutiques in New York, Paris, Tokyo and several other states, in addition to net-a-porter.com. And Minnesotans, take note — she's hosting a trunk show next week:
