New Zealand designer Karen Walker showed a chic, eyecatching collection full of colorful prints and retro silhouettes at New York Fashion Week on Tuesday. The oversized navy houndstooth is probably my favorite print, paired perfectly with soft orange lips. Her collection included both feminine dresses, belted at the waist, and menswear-inspired tuxedo jackets and pants. I particularly loved a loud yellow and blue plaid jacket that looks like something a used car salesman would've worn in the '70s. Ah, how clothes change with the right styling.
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention — what do you think of the tiny handbag necklaces? I doubt they'll catch on, but I think they're pretty cute. It doesn't look like you could fit more than a couple bucks and a lip balm inside, but since when do necklaces have to be functional?
