As promised, Seattle is completely rad in the summertime. These last few weekends have been nothing but sunshine, clear skies and bare legs. The evenings still get nippy, but that's cool.
Last weekend I hit up Folklife, a hippie festival near the Space Needle. It's never hard to get me to a festival of any kind. Just thinking about food, live music and people-watching puts me in a state of bliss. Unfortunately, someone got SHOT at this festival a few hours after we left. What the hell is the matter with this world, I don't know. I can't imagine what would make someone want to pull out a gun in a sea of peace-loving pacifists. Makes no sense. At least they caught the guy.
The last couple photos are from a delightful evening I spent with my pal Amy. She's one of the best people I've met in Seattle. Totally funny, laidback and sweet. I've noticed that as I get older, I'm instinctively drawn toward certain people, and I can tell right away when I've made a lifelong friend. That's happened quite a bit since moving here, actually. I dig this place.
