ART OF WORE

Snippets from New York Fashion Week

Another Fashion Week has come and gone — it all happened so quickly! I spent my days (and nights) taking photos and blogging for Nordstrom over at The Thread. Here are a few of my favorite shots of the runway, backstage and along the front row. Click on the links to see more!

Serious glamour at Oscar de la Renta. I managed to snag a front-row seat — the highlight of my life thus far.

Prabal Gurung brought out some famous faces. Unsurprising given the amazingness of his runway show, which I'll be posting about in full shortly.

I loved the sporty-meets-slinky nature of Reed Krakoff's show. Spotted these lovely ladies in the front row:

Yep, Julianne Moore is indeed that gorgeous in person. The woman does not age.

Jason Wu's show was similarly slinky yet edgy, with lots of sheer fabrics and leather accents.

I was seriously impressed with Herve Leger's amazingly detailed collection. Just look at that embroidery!

Alice + Olivia's vintage-inspirated presentation was really more like a giant party, with cake-pops, crazy cocktails and an ice cream stand.

Suno's spectacular show was full of witty prints and loose-fitting, ladylike silhouettes. I snapped some fun front-row pictures at the show too:

Anna, Bill, Garance, Jenna, Solange — you can imagine my excitement.

Detachable hoods made Yigal Azrouel's show a unique one. I'm excited to see them pop up on the street fashion circuit, like Balanciaga's exaggerated visors.

I went backstage and took some beauty shots at Rachel Zoe. Love the soft waves and center part.

Rachel's runway show was partly inspired by '60s screen siren Jane Birkin — never a bad idea.

I dug all the tassel-fringe and ethnic knits in Tory Burch's new collection.

Bono and his wife Ali Hewson showed a cool, globetrotter collection with Edun, their Africa-produced clothing line.

Tracy Reese also showed a colorful array of ethnic-inspired prints and a bit of fringe. Both big trends for spring.

I also stopped by jeweler Jennifer Fisher's presentation. Seriously loving her all-gold collection.

Okay, I'm getting a little carried away, so I'll stop here. Please click on the links above to see more photos from each of these shows and other NYFW coverage.
