To Blog or Not to Blog

Times are changing, guys. This blog used to be my primary outlet for all things beautiful, amusing and thought-provoking. I used to write in here two or three times a week, and now my posts have dwindled to a few times a year.

Art of Wore has never been about making money for me. It's always been about documenting my love for aesthetics and adventure. When it started to feel like I needed to pay to promote posts on Facebook just so my followers would see them, and when it started to feel my worth was being measured by Instagram likes, and when it started to feel like maybe I was divulging too much personal information ... well, I knew it was time to rethink my mission with Art of Wore.

For the time being, I’ll keep this site alive and running, but mainly as an archive. I've been browsing through old posts, and it's been really fun to see the evolution of my taste over the past seven years. That's as good a reward as any for all the time and energy I've put into my humble corner of the internet. Maybe I'll post here and there, if the mood strikes. But for the most part, you can find me on Instagram, which I update every few weeks. I've set my account to private, but I'm always open to new followers.

I hope you're all finding satisfying, healthy, positive ways to use the internet these days. It's not as innocent as it once was. Feels like it's never been crazier or occupied more of our daily brain space. Don't forget to take breaks. And give yourself permission to shut off entirely every now and then. There's no shame in reprioritizing how you spend your time. That's essentially what I'm doing with Art of Wore, moving it lower on my list.

Dormant, but not forgotten. Beloved, but repurposed. Fun, but in repose.
