Hands down the best part of my job is that when I start obsessing about a particular fashion trend — which happens often — I can actually publish a story about it!

This piece was inspired in part by my discovery of LA designer Mike Gonzalez, the designer featured on the model above. I love the fresh, modern way he worked tribal prints into his Spring 2011 collection.

I was also inspired by Cocoquette's new tribal-inspired beaded necklaces, shown above. I spotted 'em in Cliché when I was dropping off merch for a different shoot. They're so vivid and graphic and just perfect for summer — I knew I needed to feature one in some capacity.
